Eco-Ninjas at Norton have been stuffing cut-up, clean plastic into plastic drink bottles at their after school club to make ecobricks. We are hoping to make an eco-seat at school using the bricks and cob (a combination of clay, soil, straw and water) Could you help us by making ecobricks at home? Visit www.ecobricks.org<http://www.ecobricks.org> and make sure your bottle is stuffed with the right weight of plastic for the bottle size. A perfect way to use single use plastic. Bring completed bricks into school but no milk bottles please -cut them into pieces for stuffing.

Our second cross country of the year is at Ninesprings on Wednesday. The race will start and finish on the grass area behind Goldenstones swimming pool. We have all been asked not to park in Goldenstones car park and to park in other car parks around Yeovil. Also each school is asked to provide a marshal for the event. If this is something you wouldn't mind helping with please come and see Mrs Byrne, it would be greatly appreciated.

‘In Class One at Norton we have been exploring the story of The Gruffalo. In Forest School we made the mouse with clay and decorated him with natural materials. Back in the classroom, we’ve made Gruffalo heads from paper plates. We now have a small world area to reenact the story.’

On Monday, Class 2 at West Chinnock went back to Victorian times with our visitor Mr Toby Stok. The children all dressed up in Victorian costume and looked amazing. They tried writing with ink pens, rolling hoops and investigated items that would be used in the home.
